Agustín Guijarro (SABAKI) from Madrid (Spain) is a passionate dancer of what he calls his threesome loves Kizomba, Salsa and Bachata. His passion pushed him throughout Europe, Africa, America or Asia looking for training with the best instructors around the world at their studios or through many congresses and workshops.
In New York, he has been trained mainly in salsa with instructors as Eddie Torres, Frankie Martínez and Yamulee, but also other dance techniques such as Afrocuban, Ballet or Horton in prestigious schools such as Alvin Ailey School and Djoniba Dance Center. In Europe, he learned Kizomba mainly in Madrid and Lisbon through several congresses, workshops and classes with best instructors since 2009. Bachata is Agustin’s first love and he learned it from instructors - Daniel y Desiré, Korke & Judit in Spain and others such as Ataca & La Alemana and Troy & Jorget following them in several countries. In Senegal, he got in contact with the African percussion and other African dances and rhythms by the hand of Sonia Sampayo and other local instructors. Also learnt from other instructors - Carmen Soto for flamenco, and many other that Agustin has been following in an intensive congresses and workshops activity throughout more than 10 countries in the last years.
Agustin has an extensive Kizomba background. Among the Kizomba congresses he remarks Sensualdance 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 editions, Lisbon Keta Kizomba Festival 2012, New York Kizomba Festival 2012, Kizomba Feeling Festival 2013, Benidorm BK 2013 and he received training from Kwenda Lima, Tonny Pirata, Afrolatin Connection, Helio Santos, Petchu, or Albir & Sara, Chavi y Marta to his favourite and main instructor Marisa Pita under whose direction and choreography he had his premiere perform in Madrid. His recent travels to Lisbon or Cape Verde provided him of a unique experience in their Kizomba scenes. Agustin is currently teaching Kizomba in Bangkok, he started up and hosted the first regular Kizomba dancing session in Thailand at Rumpuree World Dance Studio sharing all his vision and knowledge about this exotic dance that is growing so fast all around the world.
Tip is from Bangkok. After her ballroom dancer mother passed away she found her dance shoes and she decided to put them on to get an idea why her mother felt in love with dancing. She started to learn tango at Rumpuree World Dance Studio because she loved tango music. Agustin met her at tango classes and discovered she has a talent for dance that needed to be developed and that in few time led her to become one of the best Kizomba dancers in Thailand.
